Biography:

Alison Walgama, M.D., is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine. She, her husband and three children moved to Longview in 2015. She is from New Boston, TX. Dr. Walgama received her undergraduate degree from Austin College in Sherman, TX. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in 2009. She completed her residency in Family Medicine in 2012 at the McClennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation in Waco, TX.

Dr. Walgama has professional associations with the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Before moving to Longview, Dr. Walgama enjoyed working in the heart of Oklahoma City providing medical care for underserved populations. She enjoys being a family physician because of the wide variety of ages, stages, and issues that she encounters. She enjoys getting to know patients and their families. She frequently volunteers at the Alpine Compassion Clinic, a free clinic for the medically underserved in Longview.

She enjoys teaching AWANA at her church. She and her family enjoy being outside, participating in sporting activities, and spending time with family and friends.
