Biography:
Dr. Emily Skoog is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, she attended Texas A&M Medical School in College Station, Texas. Following medical school, she completed Pediatric Residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas where she served as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Skoog completed Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at University of Alabama-Birmingham and stayed as an Associate Professor at the UAB Medical School. She has received awards for excellence at each level of her training. Dr. Skoog met her husband, Dr. Hunter Skoog, a Longview native, at Texas A&M University. During her fellowship, they welcomed their son, Carson. Dr. Skoog loves being active – running marathons, sports, biking, spending time at the lake with family, friends and their dog, Kramer! She is excited to be back in Texas to serve Longview and the East Texas Community.
