Biography:

Dr. Phuong Kim Ly is an obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing exceptional care for women’s health. She is a proud member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. As a native Texan, born and raised in Houston, she is excited about her new career, which fills her with a passion for empowering women’s health in Longview and East Texas. Dr. Ly is committed to innovative practices and ensuring her patients receive personalized and effective healthcare experiences.

Dr. Ly began her academic journey at the University of Houston, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She continued her medical education at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where experiences during her rotations helped direct her path toward obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Ly completed her residency at the same institution, gaining invaluable experience in both clinical and surgical settings.

As an advocate for community service, Dr. Ly participated in a medical mission trip with the International Medical Relief Agency, where she assisted in operating and managing a public health clinic. In her early years, she also volunteered with the Houston Humane Society, showcasing her love for animals and commitment to caring for both her patients and her community, which makes her a well-rounded and dedicated physician.

Now joining the Diagnostic Clinic of Longview, Dr. Ly specializes in comprehensive women’s health and has participated in academic research focused on pregnancies in women over 40. Her findings provide insights that help guide patients through complex prenatal journeys, ensuring safe and informed care.

Dr. Ly shares her life with her husband, Kaden, and their dogs, Loki and Barney. Together, they lead an active lifestyle filled with adventures, hiking, and culinary exploration, often indulging in new and delicious foods. Additionally, in her time, she enjoys baking sweet treats for friends and family.
